Fixing a Focus ST - Coolant Leak at the Turbo Line
Просмотров 8 тыс.Год назад
Brint was having to add a quart of coolant to his 2013 Focus ST every once in a while. He noticed some coolant residue on the downpipe v-band and then discovered a leak from the hard line between the back of the engine block and the turbocharger. The sealing washer was the leak point, not the line itself. A new line was only $15 and came with the washers.
Pole Barn Garage / Shop - Gets a Driveway (Concrete and Gravel)
Просмотров 400Год назад
I am still working on this pole barn a little at a time. After 4 years I finally got around to putting in a nice clean-looking driveway. This was about 1000 sq/ft of concrete totaling 14 yards. The rest is 21AA crushed limestone.

Rusted F-150 Hitch Receiver - So Bad!! (Let's Fix It)
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.2 года назад
I overlooked this for a long time and it could have turned out badly! This truck is a 2004 F-150 FX4 with the factory tow package. The hitch receiver is integrated into the bumper, so aftermarket replacements will not bolt on. I highly recommend inspecting this area of your truck if you live in the rust belt.

DIY Roofing My Own House - Start to Finish
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.2 года назад
This was my roofing project that I had been putting off since buying this house 5 years ago. The lack of ventilation caused black mold to form on the plywood roof decking, the shingles were 40 years old, and many of the plumbing vents had leaked. In the video I replace the whole roof deck with 1/2 OSB, cut in a continuous ridge vent, and re-roof my home. I used Atlas StormMaster Shake shingles,...
K20 Swap in 4-door Civic - We Had Issues!

Matt picked up a 1994 Honda Civic EG 4-door and we installed a K20A2 engine from his old RSX Type-S into it. We had a lot of issues... so this is probably more of a DIY how-NOT-to video. Hopefully someone can learn from our mistakes. In the end it was totally worth it... the car rips! F-250 Carli 2.5" Pintop Lift Kit - Install and Review
Просмотров 13 тыс.3 года назад
We installed a Carli Suspension 2.5" Pintop Kit on Zach's 2012 F-250 Superduty. It included King Shocks w/ nitrogen charged reservoirs, front springs, caster shims, adjustable track bar, extended brake hoses, added leaf packs for the rear, and u-bolts. We had a few issues, but in the end were really happy with the quality of the parts and the performance of the truck when it was done. Big thank...

Can all turbos leak coolant... My coolant is going down fast.. No low boost power and white smoke from exhaust. Thanks
to replace a OEM or lightly better one for a saab 93 v6, which one would u buy?
Derich weaver lifts
I am confused this is asymmetrical and symmetrical lift , you said it wasnt???
Thank you man for taking the time to make this video ,My 2004 Fx4 hitch looks just like yours. Well I’m thinking instead of wire brush and paint using bondo instead 😂.
Is there any other way if we don't want to bend the rod?
I've got the Atlas PV10P and have many of the same issues that you have. Get 2 Harbor Freight safety stands, 1 for the front and 1 in back when lifting a heavy vehicle and It won't move an inch. I had to make my own arm adapters for smaller cars for the front arms. With out them the arms would go too far under the vehicle to be in proper position so now the vehicle rests on the middle of the arm instead of the ends. Otherwise the lift is worth the money. I always feel safe under it especially with the safety stands. The 10K lift does go higher than the 9K lift so thats not an issue.
😮dont you guys have hose pump trucks, to pump ot in by a hose
😊 I have never seen any crew pour without using a "Rod" to get it flat just after tamping, good job , came out flat, they good workers👍
I need to know what is better to rebuild the engine or change it due to heating
Here power has to be 10 feet from the regulator.
Good video. Just be a bit more lively.
What did you use for insulation
Great job. donald for prison 2024
did the switch need to be double pole to run both hots through it? my diagram that came with my lift only shows using one of the hots to go through the limit switch and also inline with the manual shut off switch same wire. i am about to do a rough wire up to run the pump and bleed the cylinders. still looking for a manual cutoff switch to use.
Good video, I'm going to be running gas to my shed this weekend. Thank you
Is that 40mm?
Changing out the shackles doesn’t mess with pinion angle ?
Catch can .. just on 1 side? what about the other side?
Good video
They sell the reservoir mounts on their site.
All the comments about “you should be licensed”…. lol people can learn too without the certification
Never seen a relay fail closed but i guess you can never be TOO safe...
Where is the canister purge valve located?
I have questions ?
Hello, I'm seeking assistance with my BMW N55 engine, which is experiencing wastegate issues. Initially, the engine runs smoothly upon start-up. However, upon connecting an in/Hg gauge to the wastegate, it reads 5 in/Hg. Surprisingly, at idle around 700 RPM, the gauge jumps to 11 in/Hg. Any guidance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated the
Hello what was install time for downpipes? Thank you.
I was watching another car show besides your's, it's amazing how cheap they build cars, why does the price keep going up? Must be to cover all the re-calls!
I used 3in drop coils on the front and 2in shackles on the back on my V6 and it worked perfectly.
You make my day… thank you
I've always liked working with 2 post in-ground hydraulic lifts back in the day. Nothing beats being able to open a car door fully lol. I had to get a floor plate lift because my ceiling is only 11' and won't accommodate a clear floor model. IMO It's still far better then rolling round on the floor. I ended up added foam weather stripping to all the places that I have noted the doors hitting on the columns. Ironically, the big rubber pad on the carriages have never come into contact with any doors so far lol.
Great video... thanks for pointing out the good and bad... I'm looking to buy a lift for my home garage, learned a few things!
So the front springs are for a 4.2 F150??
Video of u driving the car, please .
because the arrows go back ??
Would you suggest the derek weaver 2 post baseplate model over direct tools racing baseplate mode?
I've never used either so I really don't have an opinion. Derek Weaver was my next choice when I was shopping though.
@ShawnFerret I ended up purchasing the AMGO BP-9X this past Friday. After reading many reviews on various ones I settles on the AMGO due to being a certified lift and the amazing warranty they have.
So, $5500 for all materials? What state?
I'm in Michigan. That was actually when OSB cost was a little higher than it is now.
rocking is completely normal especially on one of those stupid f150s you could have jack points bumper to bumper and itll still rock your fine
Is that more of a matte? I'm looking to do satin. Looks good!
I'm pretty sure it's called Flat which is the next one down from Satin so yes it's more of a matte finish. I bet Satin would look good too.
Good air hammer would have drove that bolt out easily ive done several of them.
I see this connection every place on you tube but I also see a barb fitting often used to connect to black pipe. IF it is ok to use barb on connection why is it not ok to use on a splice ? Also if the main lines are heated and pushed together to bond would that not be better?
Maybe a pro can chime in here!
Looks good! What sheen was the paint that you used?
Thanks! It's a flat or matte paint finish.
Great job, it looks so industrial. Did it get darker? I noticed that you kept the original lights, but I didn't notice any change on the video with respect to making the room darker
Thanks! I didn't notice any change in the light levels... still super bright!
Thank you! I had the same problem! All that work thinking your doing an upgrade to the car, just to go.back and install the stock one. It's a joke! I'll be sure to go leave a trash review on the product, these are being sold for so many different model cars, I got mine for a n55 535i bmw engine, and wow, trash!! Same exact problem, rich conditions due to inconsistent boost pressures and jumpy / hesitant power. I agree, piston is far too small. I have a boost gauge old school and a vacuum gauge teed into my wastegate for live veiw, and needle was bouncing all over The one I received from mamba tek was the same exact thing. They DO have other good products though, not everything they sell is trash at all. It's just not all capable of what they claim.
It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one! I used their fitting on my oil pan and I've used gaskets/flanges and other small stuff from them too with no issues. I don't trust them with moving parts anymore!
Great informative video which highlights things to be aware of before a lift purchase.
Thanks!
How much build everything like that now?
I think the parts cost was around $2000 at the time.
Will these downpipes pass smog tests? Will they throw check engine lights? I am not planning on tuning my ST but I have read that you can pick up a good amount of performance by changing these out. Thanks!
You would have to reach out to FenFab for a verified answer on this. We drove around after installing them, prior to re-tuning and they didn't set a Check Engine Light.
I have the same Atlas lift and the cheap contacts inside the contactor intermittently welded shut! This kept the motor & lift running until it hit the upper bar limit switch. You mentioned that you installed the emergency shutoff in case the up button sticks, well it’s not just the button that could stick and in my case it was the cheap contacts in the white relay contactor. The contacts melted together.
Very clean! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks!
Where do you get the bumper?
I got it used. You can still buy them from Ford though.
